the M family | Seattle

Fifty-seven. That’s how many photos I originally selected to include in this blog post. I managed to narrow it down a bit, but look at this family! Can you blame me?

I met Marta my first year of college, and even then I would have predicted that she’d become a great mother one day. She has such a sweet, gentle nature about her. She’s also fun, funny, and every once in a while, a little sassy, but never anything less than nice.

After college, Marta moved to the Dominican Republic where she eventually met Eudis. They had all the right things in common (both taught and served children at a Christian ministry in the DR), but enough differences to balance each other perfectly.

It was truly a pleasure to finally meet Eudis when he came to the US and to watch them begin their life together. With three kids now, that life is quite busy and full, in the very best of ways.

I had such a great time getting to play with them at the park the other day. Although they’re not very far away, it seems we just get busy and go too long between visits.

Marta and Eudis, thanks for letting me photograph your family. Your children are unbelievably gorgeous, but it was the sweetness of your interactions and the beauty of your relationships that made it a good morning for me. I love you guys!
